Student Provision Officer job summary

  • Hours of work: 37 hours per week
  • Working pattern: Monday to Thursday, 8.30am to 4.30pm and Friday 8.30am to 4.00pm
  • Term weeks: 38 + 2 weeks school closure, minimum paid weeks 45.6

The Whitehaven Academy is part of Cumbria Education Trust. The successful candidate will be joining CET at an exciting time, as we continue to build on our successes and move forward on our journey to establish ourselves as one of the highest performing MATs in the North of England.

This is an excellent opportunity to join The Whitehaven Academy at a pivotal time for its future. There has been significant financial investment to redevelop the school which moved into its state-of-the-art new building in 2022 and new sports facilities added in 2023. The school continues to expand, and we were again oversubscribed for Year 7 admissions in September 2024.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have relevant experience in a similar environment or appropriate qualifications.
  • Hold appropriate academic qualifications to at least GCSE standard, professional qualifications to at least NVQ level 2, or be able to demonstrate competency through proven experience in a similar role.
  • Have good inter-personal skills, be able to operate as a member of a busy team and to seek and accept guidance and support as required and as offered.
  • Have the drive, initiative and ability to respond quickly to further developments in the provision of learning support in schools.
  • Have excellent inter-personal skills and be able to communicate effectively with young people and educational professionals.
