Student Services and First Aid Lead job summary

🔎 Are you passionate about student wellbeing and committed to ensuring every young person feels safe, supported, and ready to learn?

We are seeking a dedicated and organised Student Services and First Aid Lead to play a vital role in supporting student welfare at Duke’s Aldridge Academy. This key position sits at the heart of our school community, ensuring students receive high-quality first aid care while helping the Student Services team provide a calm, supportive environment where students can access help when they need it.

You will lead the Academy’s first aid provision, responding to student medical needs, maintaining accurate health and incident records, and ensuring that medical procedures are followed in line with school policies. Alongside this, you will support the Student Services function, acting as a central point of contact for students, staff, and families and working closely with the pastoral team to support student wellbeing.

Working collaboratively with colleagues across the school, you will help ensure students feel safe, supported, and able to engage fully in learning, while maintaining high standards of organisation, communication, and safeguarding practice.

✅ A qualified First Aider (or willingness to obtain the qualification)

✅ Experience working with young people or within a school, pastoral, or student support environment

✅ Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail

✅ Confidence in communicating with students, staff, parents, and external agencies

✅ The ability to remain calm and professional when responding to student welfare or medical needs
