What skills and experience we're looking for
We are now looking for a Student Services Receptionist and Medical Welfare Officer at Maiden Erlegh School in Reading.
This role is instrumental to the lives of our students whilst at school and is responsible for manning the Student Services reception desk assisting students with their queries in a positive and supportive manner. This is a busy post, helping with lost property queries, timetable queries and calling parents on behalf of students. The successful candidate will also be required to support the Office Manager on whole school First Aid provision – acting as the main First Aider and co-ordinating support from other First Aiders.
The successful candidate must have;
- Excellent Microsoft office skills - Word, Excel, Outlook
- Confidentiality, reliability, tact, diplomacy, sensitivity and resilience
- Ability to use own initiative and manage their time/case load
- Ability to work with a team working environment and also able to work independently
- Good sense of humour
- Flexible approach to working and commitment to ongoing service and personal development (through self-evaluation and learning from others)
- Calm under pressure, adaptable and energetic
