Student Services Safeguarding Officer job summary

The College is looking to appoint an experienced Student Services Safeguarding Officer to provide an efficient and effective service as part of the college’s student services department. The successful candidate will be joining a well-established Safeguarding Team, working alongside colleagues within Loreto, as well as external agencies, to provide high quality safeguarding support and guidance to students and staff. The most recent Ofsted report described Loreto’s approach to safeguarding as highly effective and that, ‘Leaders and managers have the upmost regard for safeguarding’ Ofsted 2023.

The successful candidate will support the work of the safeguarding team by conducting appropriate assessments and referrals with students including Early Help assessments and referrals to Housing or Mental Health teams. You will support vulnerable students including those who are Looked After, Living Independently and Young carers.
