Student Support Manager- Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead job summary

Alde Valley Academy are seeking to appoint a passionate and inspiring Student Support Manager- Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead to join our friendly and inspiring team. This role is offered on a full time basis working 37 hours per week, 40 weeks of the year.

The main responsibilities of the role will be:

  • Lead and coordinate Student Support provision, including overseeing interventions, and reporting to SLT in liaison with senior leaders.
  • Provide high-quality pastoral support to students, addressing behavioural, social, emotional, mental health, and safeguarding needs to promote inclusion and positive behaviour for learning.
  • Act as a key point of contact for parents and external agencies, arranging and attending meetings, maintaining effective communication, and coordinating multi-agency support.
  • Develop, deliver, and evaluate individual and group interventions, using behaviour and safeguarding data to identify needs, monitor impact, and inform next steps.
  • Fulfill safeguarding responsibilities, including acting as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, managing concerns and referrals, maintaining accurate records, and supporting students at risk.
