Join Our Outstanding Sixth Form Team

Bishop Vesey’s Grammar School is seeking a highly organised, motivated and student-focused individual to join our Sixth Form team as a Study Supervisor and Academic Coach.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the academic achievement, wellbeing and future aspirations of our Sixth Form students. The successful candidate will combine the responsibilities of supervising independent study with providing mentoring and coaching for students who require additional support to fulfil their potential.

About the Role

The postholder will:

  • Oversee a purposeful and productive Sixth Form study environment.
  • Mentor and coach students to improve engagement, organisation and academic progress.
  • Monitor attendance, study habits and achievement, intervening where concerns arise.
  • Liaise with teachers, parents and Sixth Form leaders to support student success.
  • Assist students returning from illness and support attendance-related interventions.
  • Provide guidance and support throughout the UCAS application process, including personal statement feedback and reference preparation.
  • Support Year 12 induction, enrichment activities and work experience arrangements.
  • Assist with Sixth Form admissions, parents' evenings and open events.
