Subject Lead for Design & Technology job summary

Details

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Subject Lead for D&T to join our team of educators and lead our D&T curriculum. As the Subject Lead for Design and Technology, you will spearhead the development and delivery of our comprehensive D&T curriculum. This encompasses a diverse range of subjects, including Resistant Materials, 3-Dimensional Design, Electronics and Systems Control. You will inspire and support both students and staff, ensuring that our D&T programs are engaging, relevant, and aligned with industry standards.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive D&T curriculum, focusing on Resistant Materials, 3-Dimensional Design, Electronics and Systems Control
  • Providing leadership and guidance to art department staff, including mentoring, professional development, and performance management.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and creativity within the D&T department, encouraging students to explore, design, and prototype solutions to real-world problems.
  • Collaborate with other departments and external partners to enhance cross-curricular learning opportunities and enrich the D&T experience for our students.
  • Staying abreast of current trends and developments in education, incorporating new techniques, technologies, and pedagogical approaches into our curriculum.
