What skills and experience we're looking for

For September 2023, or earlier if available, we seek to appoint an enthusiastic, creative and dynamic colleague to lead our Geography Department. The successful applicant will be an outstanding classroom practitioner with high expectations and the ability to enthuse and motivate both staff and students. This is an exciting time to join us at Crofton; the Humanities team are delivering lessons in recently refurbished well-equipped classrooms, and we are actively expanding our repertoire of local and residential field work.

What the school offers its staff

This appointment represents an excellent opportunity for an ambitious practitioner who shares our school values of kindness, ambition and diligence, and wishes to develop their career through working with a talented group of teachers who are committed to raising standards in Geography. We welcome applicants who have a strong vision for the continuing development of the Geography curriculum, and have the skills and ambition to make this happen. The successful candidate will have a track record that demonstrates their ability to achieve exceptional outcomes for students in Geography, alongside the passion and drive to lead and develop a curriculum area.
