Are you passionate about theatre, performance, and inspiring the next generation of creative talent?

Wellfield Academy is seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Subject Leader of Drama to lead and develop our Drama provision. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and motivated teacher to shape an engaging curriculum, promote high-quality teaching and learning, and inspire students to develop confidence, creativity, and a love of performance.

As Subject Leader of Drama, you will play a key role in promoting the performing arts across the academy, creating memorable learning experiences both inside and outside the classroom. From directing productions and leading extracurricular opportunities to supporting students in developing their performance and communication skills, you will help foster a vibrant and inclusive drama culture within the school.

We are looking for someone who can bring energy, creativity, and strong leadership to the role, while creating a supportive environment in which all students can thrive.

As our new Subject Leader of Drama at Wellfield Academy, you will:
Lead and develop the Drama curriculum, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, and student achievement.
Deliver engaging and inspiring drama lessons to students of all abilities across different key stages.
Encourage creativity, confidence, collaboration, and self-expression through performance and practical learning.
Monitor student progress and support learners to achieve their full potential.
Lead extracurricular activities, including school productions, performances, and drama enrichment opportunities.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote the performing arts across the wider academy community.
Contribute to the continued growth and success of Drama at Wellfield Academy.
