Subject Leader of Music job summary

Are you ready to take the next step in your career? Do you have the passion and vision to lead and shape the future of Music at our school? We are seeking a dedicated and ambitious Subject Leader of Music to inspire both students and staff, driving excellence in the subject while further developing your own leadership skills.

This is an exciting opportunity for a specialist who wants to take Music beyond the basics—exploring performance, composition, music technology, and a wide range of musical styles. You will have the chance to design and deliver an engaging, innovative curriculum that equips students with essential musical skills, fosters creativity, and instils a lifelong love of music.

We are looking for someone who can also champion the use of technology in music education, exploring how digital tools can enhance teaching, composition, and performance. This includes supporting staff in integrating music technology and encouraging students to engage with music in exciting and innovative ways.

This role is perfect for an experienced teacher looking to step into leadership or an existing leader seeking a new challenge in an ambitious school with brand-new school build and state-of-the-art facilities coming soon! You will be supported by a strong, collaborative team both within the school and across the Trust, helping you make a lasting impact on the musical life of our students.

If you are ready to make a real impact, we would love to hear from you.
