Subject Leader, Religious Education job summary
This is an excellent opportunity for a talented and enthusiastic colleague to join the Middle Leadership Team at The Oxford Academy, a school on a rapid improvement journey, where you will be able to make a significant difference to the lives of the children we serve. It is an exciting time to be joining the school and its team of expert and welcoming staff, enabling the successful candidate to be part of something special.
We are currently looking to appoint an experienced and ambitious teacher who will take the lead, supported by the Deputy Headteacher for Quality of Education and the wider Middle Leadership team, in making a profound and positive improvement in the outcomes of the young people at The Oxford Academy. As a Church of England School, it is essential that our new Head of Religious Education has experience and deep understanding of the SIAMS Inspection Framework.
As an experienced teacher, you will need to have a proven track record of leading others and inspiring students, leading to improved standards and outcomes in Religious Education. You will have the ambition and drive to ensure that the vision for Religious Education at The Oxford Academy-one with a provision, profile and priority across KS3-KS5, reflecting the expectations of a Church of England School, is carefully planned and achievable. You will also help develop an exciting curriculum and have the resolve to make a real difference to the lives of our young people. You will build a culture where our theologically rooted Christian vision is an intrinsic part of our curriculum.
