An exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional middle leader to join Kings Norton Girls’ School and Sixth Form (KNGS). KNGS is an OFSTED outstanding school and is part of the West Midlands Multi Academy Trust, has a comprehensive intake and a co-educational sixth form. The post is available from September on a part time (0.6 FTE), permanent basis. The working days will be confirmed for September during the summer term; please note these days may change in future years based on timetable need.

This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional teacher of Design Technology/Resistant Materials to join Kings Norton Girls’ School and Sixth Form as Subject Leader on a part‑time, permanent basis from September 2026. We are an outstanding school with a culture that prioritises the wellbeing of both students and staff. Design Technology/Resistant materials falls within the Arts Faculty which is a well‑established, dedicated and experienced team who work collaboratively to achieve the best outcomes for our learners.

The successful candidate will be an effective and ambitious classroom practitioner, committed to continually improving students’ experiences and attainment. You will have the ability to teach at KS3 and KS4 and will lead the development of the Design Technology/Resistant Materials curriculum, whilst ensuring high standards of teaching and learning across the department. You will use your subject expertise to drive improvement, support colleagues and shape the direction of the subject across the school.
