There is the need to equip students with the skills they need to: extract, interpret, distil, understand, question, utilise and critique the vast information which they can access. History is an ‘enabling’ subject, providing the link between the arts and the sciences and you will have the opportunity to support, challenge and inspire all our students.

Your responsibilities will include planning and preparing high-quality lessons, assessing student work, providing feedback, and maintaining positive relationships. You will also have the opportunity to participate in extra-curricular activities both inside the Humanities Faculty and across the school. You should have extensive subject and pedagogical knowledge alongside strong communication skills and the ability to inspire young people. A commitment to raising educational achievement alongside continued personal pedagogical development are essential.

You will be part of our very successful and popular Humanities Department joining our team of two History teachers and four Geography teachers and will play a key role in further developing our shared pedagogical vision and curriculum.
