We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic and inspiring Support for Learning Assistant to join the Learning Support Department at The Mirfield Free Grammar, part of Great Heights Academy Trust.
About the Role
Our Learning Support team works collaboratively with students, parents and staff across the school to ensure every young person benefits from an inclusive, nurturing and high‑quality learning environment.
As a Support for Learning Assistant, you will primarily support students with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), working with learners who have a range of additional needs including Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, ADHD and Autism.
You will play a vital role in:
- Delivering student‑centred, flexible support tailored to individual needs
- Implementing strategies and provisions that help students achieve meaningful academic and life outcomes
- Providing in‑class support, small group work and bespoke interventions
- Building positive, trusting relationships that enable students to flourish emotionally, socially and academically
