Support Worker job summary

We are looking for a support worker to join our team here at the Skegness Academy!

We are looking to appoint a Support Worker to assist a visually impaired colleague in their day to day activities to enable them to fulfil their current role.

About us:

We provide 11-19 education for up to 1190 pupils, including 340 post-16. The Academy occupies a large site with extensive sports facilities and green space. In recent years we have completed a £19m capital building programme, providing new and refurbished buildings to give pupils and staff a high-quality learning environment.

Our students benefit from a rigorous and robust curriculum, delivered through excellent teaching. We emphasise not only knowledge and understanding across all subjects but also essential skills such as respect, politeness, and good manners. Our goal is to prepare students to thrive as 21st century citizens.

The Skegness Academy is changing for the better, and there has never been a more exciting time to join us. We will continue our journey of moving forward rapidly to support every student in getting onto the path to a happy, successful, and fulfilling life.

Pupils and staff will see a lot of the leadership team during the Academy day. They spend a great deal of time around the Academy, visiting lessons and supporting staff to ensure that basic standards are being met, and the quality of teaching and learning is consistently high.

This Academy is sponsored by the Greenwood Academies Trust which was formed in 2009 and now educates approximately 19,000 pupils across seven local authority areas including Nottingham City, Nottinghamshire, Leicester City, Northamptonshire, Peterborough and Lincolnshire.
