What skills and experience we're looking for

The purpose of this role is to work autonomously, in line with school policies and health care plans, to provide person centred support to any pupil with physical disabilities and additional health needs in order to promote independence, self- esteem, social inclusion. Working closely with teachers and teaching assistants you will also facilitate the pupil(s) accessing the curriculum, taking part in learning and experiencing a sense of achievement. This may include supporting a small number of pupils or working on a 1:1 basis with a specific pupil (subject to their levels of need). Training on health care needs will be provided by a registered nurse.
