What skills and experience we're looking for

At the UTC English Language, Literature and Literacy underpins everything that we do. We are looking to recruit a suitably qualified teacher who can support the delivery of English and Literacy.

Under the direction of the Curriculum Director, you will support the delivery of English Language, English Literature and Literacy. You will be a highly skilled practitioner who understands the value of educating 13–19-year-olds in an employer-led technology rich environment. Effective partnership working is absolutely critical to the UTC’s success. We also welcome applications from newly qualified teachers who have the skills and attributes to develop their expertise within our unique environment.

We are looking for engaging and inspirational individuals: resilient, driven and focused, who will creatively approach the delivery of the English curriculum. You will ideally have a passion for promoting the value of literacy for the next generation of Engineering and Health & Life Science specialists in our pioneering institution at the heart of the Derby City Region and its communities.
