We are seeking to appoint a motivated and talented teacher to join our hard working, dynamic and enthusiastic team, who shares in our determination to transform the life chances of young people who attend Melland High school.

Melland High School is part of Bright Futures Educational Trust which is a partnership of eleven schools based in the North West. We are committed to our vision: ‘The best for everyone, the best from everyone’. Everything that we do is underpinned by our commitments and our values of community, integrity and passion. We never forget that we are here in the service of children, families and communities. In order to get the best from our young people we need to invest in our workforce providing opportunities for people to work collaboratively, to share good practice, and to be supportive, challenging and fair to one another whilst recognising that we are always learning.

Staff development and wellbeing is an important aspect of our employment offer, and we provide opportunities using our networks and our own schools and expertise, to enable staff to grow in their existing role and progress beyond it.

The successful candidates will be motivated by the belief that every young person can achieve their potential. Whilst previous experience of working in a SEND environment is desirable, excellent teaching skills, personal qualities and levels of resilience are just as important. In return we can offer a wonderfully diverse pupil population, support in developing best practice in enrichment and creativity as well as extensive continued professional development opportunities.

Please see the attached job description and person specification for a full list of responsibilities and accountabilities.

Flexible working will be considered please discuss your preferences at interview
