Are you looking for a teaching career that allows you to play a part in supporting students with additional needs and be a big part in preparing them for adulthood and employment?

Pebble Brook School is seeking to recruit an exceptional teacher to support the delivery of Maths and to join our team of dedicated SEND professionals. This role would suit a teacher whose specialist subject is Maths, alongside acting as a form tutor, supporting students through a range of enrichment activities and thematic learning designed to prepare them for adulthood.

The ideal candidate will have experience in primary education and/or specialist SEND settings and will be confident in delivering high-quality, inclusive teaching that is carefully adapted to meet individual needs. You will lead, monitor and support the overall progress and development of students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment that enables every learner to achieve their full potential.

This is an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with teachers and specialist staff across our core curriculum, including Maths, English, PE and Art, as well as vocational subjects. You will support students with ASD, ADHD and Moderate Learning Difficulties, helping them to develop academically, socially and emotionally.

About the successful candidate

You’ll need to be a team player and collaborator, sharing ideas and strategies with colleagues whilst learning from them, and reflecting on each term, seeking improvement through solution focused practice. You will be committed to working to meet the individual needs of our pupils and confident communicating to students and young adults ranging from year 7 to sixth form .

Pebble Brook School is a secondary Special School for approximately 182 pupils aged 11-19 with a range of moderate learning difficulties. We are based on an attractive site, with onsite staff parking in the centre of Aylesbury and maintained by Buckinghamshire Local Authority. Our pupils come from all over the county, some have attended primary special schools whilst others have previously been in mainstream schools across the county.
