School Vision

We provide an excellent education based on a Christian framework that empowers our children with the knowledge and wisdom to shape the future.

At St Georgeโ€™s Church of England Primary School, we are inspired by Jesusโ€™ words: โ€œI have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.โ€ (John 10:10) ๐ŸŒŸ. The words of Jesus act as a guide for our Christian school vision, where we aim for all at St. Georgeโ€™s to flourish together and enjoy life to the full ๐ŸŒผ.

In John, Chapter 10, Jesus describes his purpose on Earth as being the โ€œGood Shepherdโ€ ๐Ÿ‘ to show us the way. He knows us completely and is therefore able to lead us completely because we are known to him. God wants each person to flourish and promises to help and guide us. We see our purpose as being like the โ€œGood Shepherdโ€ in Psalm 23: proactively seeking to care, support, and nurture through a relationship of trust that is led by example. In turn, we hope, through leading by example, to develop the next generation that can take on that role ๐ŸŒฑ.

As God can help and guide us by knowing each one of us, โ€œLife to the fullestโ€ is Godโ€™s gift to us ๐ŸŽ. Jesus is there for children and staff to grow physically and spiritually just as he had done (Luke 2:39-40). Our distinct relationship with Jesus and God enables us to cultivate our innate self-worth and self-value to have a rich sense of living together through all the ups and downs ๐ŸŒˆ. Through this close relationship, we nurture and develop the gifts that all in our school have to offer so they can continue to care for Godโ€™s creations ๐ŸŒ.

We live this out through:

  • A Christian education ๐Ÿ“š
  • Serving our local community ๐Ÿค
  • Building each other up ๐Ÿ’ช

What we can offer

We want to attract, retain, and reward the very best staff as this will help us meet our vision that our children have the very best experience in education and can experience life in its fullness ๐ŸŒŸ. We offer a comprehensive package including competitive salaries, discounts and benefits schemes, an employee assistance programme, and opportunities for personal, professional, and career development ๐Ÿ“š.

Our rewards and benefits scheme includes access to a GP 24-hour service ๐Ÿฉบ, discounts on eye tests, glasses, and dentistry ๐Ÿ‘“, a cycle-to-work scheme ๐Ÿšด, a technology buying scheme (in partnership with Currys) ๐Ÿ’ป, and an electric vehicle buying scheme (in partnership with Octopus) ๐Ÿš—.

Through the Learning Centre, staff can access a wide range of formal and informal training, established professional networks, and formal qualifications through our apprenticeship schemes ๐ŸŽ“.
