What skills and experience we're looking for
It is expected that a Class Teacher will meet all the DfE Teacher's Standards.
Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils.
Promote good progress and outcomes by pupils.
Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge.
Plan and teach well-structured lessons.
Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all pupils.
Make accurate and productive use of assessment.
Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment.
Fulfil wider professional responsibilities including making a positive contribution to the wider life and ethos of the school.

John Fielding Special School aims to provide a broad, balanced and differentiated curriculum designed to meet the unique needs of all of our pupils. Our pupils can range in age from 2 -19 Years old and all have severe learning difficulties, some also have an autistic spectrum disorder, epilepsy, a physical disability, sensory impairment, medical needs and/or a communication difficulty.
