Are you passionate about making a difference for all children?
We are seeking an inspirational teacher with vision and high expectations for learning to join our team, inspiring children and promoting excellence.
Our school prides itself on its calm and purposeful environment where the children feel supported, challenged and extended. The School Council plays a fundamental role in whole-school decisions, ensuring our children have a deep understanding of their role in society as thinkers and leaders of change.
We are a small, diverse and extremely friendly one form entry primary school located in the borough of Royal Greenwich.
Our school values run through every aspect of life here in school. We are committed to teaching our children the importance of relationships, how to be caring and respectful towards others and how to protect the environment around us.
Our children enjoy a rich, broad and well planned curriculum which allows them to explore new and exciting literature and learn about key people of our world. We are passionate about bringing learning to life by regularly exploring our local area and further afield.
Our school environment is particularly important to us, and our children regularly contribute to our rich and exciting school displays and learning areas. While we are focused on children mastering the key skills, we are also passionate about the arts and physical development and how they support our children to make future life choices. This passion is clear to see as you walk around our school.
We serve a wonderful, close, localised community and build life long relationships with our families.
Alderwood Primary School has most recently been judged as ‘Good’ in all areas by Ofsted and we intend to use this success to further improve and offer the very best provision to all our children.
We are part of the Compass Partnership of Schools, a charitable trust of 15 schools that work as one to achieve the very best for all children and all communities.
We are a research-engaged community and are constantly seeking new and innovative ways of developing teaching for learning. Our ethos is one of mutual respect and positive values for life-long learning. We are part of The Compass Partnership MAT; an innovative and forward-thinking group of schools comprising of Alderwood, Boxgrove, Cann Hall, Deansfield, Halstow, Horn Park, John Ray Junior, Kidbrooke Park, Notley Green, Shalford, South Rise, Willow Dene, and Wingfield.
