What skills and experience we're looking for
An exciting opportunity is available for a dedicated Teacher and Head of Year to join our teaching team at Oasis Academy Lord's Hill, preferably with a subject specialism of either Music or Modern Foreign Languages delivering high quality Music or MFL lessons within a supportive and ambitious learning environment.
About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and creative Teacher and Head of Year to join a well-qualified and effective team of teachers in Southampton. You’ll be a well-rounded Music practitioner with the ability to deliver both theory and performance aspects of the subject, in line with wider curriculum requirements, ensuring class achievement is raised and sustained.
Job requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent qualification
- Relevant specialist qualifications and subject experience (e.g. BA Hons degree in a Music or a Musical Theory-related field or Languages)
- Ability to deliver Music or MFL lessons to a high standard
- Understanding of curriculum requirements for Music or MFL
- Exemplary communication skills for a range of abilities
