What skills and experience we're looking for

In addition to the job specification for a teacher, the role of KS3 Standards in English will also include the following responsibilities:

  • To develop assessments to enable progress of students to be monitored across KS3, throughout the whole Academy.
  • To support the Director of English in the day-to-day running of the Faculty with regards to KS3.
  • To have an up-to-date knowledge of the subject area(s)
  • To set high professional standards
  • To establish resources for KS3, in line with the curriculum changes, for improving teaching and learning across the faculty.

We are looking for an individual who demonstrates accountability and ownership for own work duties and activities and carries them out to a high standard and with integrity.

St George’s Academy is a large, successful, 11-18 mixed secondary school of 2,377 students (including 349 in the sixth form and 531 on our Ruskington Campus) with outstanding facilities in all areas.
