Hours: 40 hours per week - Term Time only - Start time 8.15am - Finish time Monday/Wednesday/Thursday 4.45pm. Tuesday 5pm and Friday 4pm

Aurora Redehall School supports pupils aged 6–11 with communication difficulties linked to Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). We’re seeking a passionate Primary Teacher to join our speech, language and communication needs class, the students in this class have a higher level of speech and communication needs. You will be delivering high quality teaching and learning. Although Aurora Redehall is a primary school, many of the students are working at least 2 academic years behind their chronological age, so this position would suit an EYFS teacher.

Key Duties:
You will be accountable to the school leadership team, below are some of the key duties you will be expected to carry out:
- Deliver and develop curriculum plans that meet students’ educational, physical, and social needs.
- Collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Set, monitor, and review personalised learning targets.
- Assess, track, and report student progress to stakeholders in line with school policies.
- Create structured, engaging lessons with clear objectives and challenge.
- Contribute to reviews of Statements, EHC plans, PEPs, and LAC meetings.
- Stay informed on autism-related developments to support effective teaching.
- Work positively and non-confrontationally to meet individual needs.

Skills and Qualifications
- Previous experience with speech, language and communication needs
- QTS is essential
- Ability to teach across a range of subjects.
- Relevant knowledge and experience of pupils with ASD, SEMH and PDA profile
- Understanding of the Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures
- Experience of managing a range of approaches to behaviour, including managing behaviours that challenge
