Brookfields School is part of Ascendancy Partnership Trust, a multi-academy trust with deep community roots across the Berkshire area composed of a family of SEN schools all specialising in learning difficulties.

We are able to offer an exciting opportunity for Classroom Teachers to join our team of dedicated and passionate teaching staff commencing January and April 2026 on a full-time, part-time or fixed-term basis to cover periods of maternity leave.

Our pupils aged from 4 to 19 come to Brookfields with diverse needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, and Severe Learning Difficulties. We aim to provide creative and outstanding teaching and learning in an environment that enables all pupils to shine and achieve their full potential through enrichment opportunities and life skills development. We support pupils to go on to lead fulfilling, happy, and as independent a life as possible.

Being a class teacher at Brookfields includes working in a flexible, engaging and creative way, leading a team of dedicated support staff and supporting pupils who need successful relationships with attuned adults to enable them to achieve and access our curriculum. You will also need to take responsibility for planning, preparation, assessment, evaluation and reporting pupil progress. You will need to work collaboratively with other school staff and parents and carers to create and maintain strong working relationships and outstanding opportunities for our pupils.
