What skills and experience we're looking for

a) To undertake any duties of an appropriate nature as may be reasonably required by the Head of Campus to which he/she may be directed to work as a teacher.

b) To participate in any arrangements within an agreed national framework for the appraisal of his/her own performance and that of other staff.

c) To maintain both the health and safety of self, colleagues and critically of all students including good order and discipline: to do so within the school’s policies and guidelines.

d) To be familiar with and follow all the school’s policies and guidelines on all areas and aspects of school life.

e) To play a full part in the cycle of school and self-evaluation, plan-do-review.

f) To maintain a classroom or rooms to the highest standard: supporting the comfort, safety, self-esteem and learning of the students.

TEACHING

a) To undertake class teaching and all associated preparatory, assessment, recording and reporting work, in a subject specialism and/or other curriculum areas.

b) To demonstrate skills in, and understanding of, a variety of teaching and learning strategies.

c) To lead and/or substantially contribute to the planning and delivery of any necessary policy documents and schemes of work for those subjects.

d) To impart knowledge skills and understanding to each pupil following planned schemes of work that deliver the National Curriculum both within and if appropriate outside the prescribed Key Stages and programmes of study for each subject delivered
