What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking an individual with prior experience of working in school who is now looking to take an apprentice route towards becoming a qualified teacher and can demonstrate the following skills and experience:

Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain ideas clearly to students of different abilities

A genuine interest in education and supporting young people’s development

Good organisation and time-management skills to assist with lesson preparation and classroom activities while balancing the requirements of a university based course

Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students

Willingness to learn and take feedback from experienced teachers and mentors

Basic IT skills for tasks such as preparing materials and using classroom technology

Relevant qualifications (e.g. GCSEs in English and maths) and a commitment to working towards teaching credentials

The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
