Teacher, full time, permanent job summary
Hillside Specialist School & College is a Special School for children and young adults with autism.
We pride ourselves on nurturing our pupils and providing a safe and happy learning environment in which they can thrive. We are very proud of the achievements of all our pupils and the care and dedication our staff provide.
We are looking to recruit an inspirational permanent, full time teacher. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to join our dedicated team and will work with children between the ages of 11 and 19 (initial class group yet to be decided).
Each class is supported by experienced Teaching Assistants dependent on the needs of the pupils. We believe in the uniqueness of every student, and offer a personalised approach to teaching.
The ideal candidate would need to be passionate about working with children and young people with autism and want to make a real difference to their lives and education.
