Do you believe passionately that Media Studies should be at the heart of an outstanding education?

We are looking for a dynamic teacher of media who is a strong practitioner and has a passion for inspiring students and the ability to support and lead their peers. This is the perfect opportunity to work within a supportive faculty to help to further develop our exceptional provision within the academy. The ability to teach drama would be advantageous, since media falls within the Performing Arts Faculty.

We are a highly sought after and well-established comprehensive in East Oxford with over 1350 students including 6th Form. A strength of Oxford Spires is the warm, welcoming culture for students and staff alike and a huge sense of community.

Performing Arts is a highly respected and pedagogically focused faculty. With media playing an important role in our richly diverse school community that contributes positively to the experience of our students. As the Teacher in Charge of Media you will oversee, support, mentor and drive forward our exceptional team, you will play a key role in further shaping and developing what is already an area of strength within the school.

What we are looking for:

  • A creative and energetic teacher of media who is seeking to share their experience and skills to further improve the faculty.
  • A passionate and dynamic teacher who will inspire innovation and creativity within our students.
  • Applicants who have a commitment to creating an inclusive classroom where all students make excellent progress and experience success.
  • A media specialist, who is also able to teach drama.
