What skills and experience we're looking for

It is expected that the successful candidate will have QTS. The successful candidate will:

  • Have good interpersonal skills and initiative
  • Have a real commitment to working with children and making a difference
  • Have experience of delivering teaching to primary phase including KS2
  • Support the Christian ethos of the school
  • Want to promote children’s enjoyment of reading and have a personal knowledge/love of children’s literature
  • Experience of using a concrete-pictorial-abstract approach to teaching Maths
  • Support our focus on outdoor education as a means to support physical and mental well-being

We are a village primary school situated in Cressage, a lovely area of Shropshire with five mixed age classes. Our school has a strong sense of family and we are looking for a new teacher to join our team. The teacher will be based in Willow Class (Year 4 & Year 5) and will be leading the creative and engaging curriculum provision in those year groups as well as promoting and building warm relationships with all the school community. Children are happy, well behaved and excited to learn and staff enjoy working here. We look forward to welcoming a new colleague and all that she/he will bring.
