We are seeking a passionate, skillful, and enthusiastic Key Stage 1 Teacher to join our dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact on the learning and development of our Key Stage 1 pupils, guiding them through their early years in education with care and expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons aligned with the National Curriculum for Key Stage 1.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes pupil well-being and learning.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress, adapting teaching approaches to meet individual needs.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to support holistic pupil development.
  • Maintain accurate records of pupil attainment and contribute to whole-school tracking systems.
  • Participate actively in school events, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development.
  • Uphold safeguarding policies and ensure the welfare and safety of all pupils.

Person Specification: Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  • Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to foster a stimulating and supportive learning environment.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Desirable Qualities:

  • Experience with phonics programmes
  • Familiarity with SEND strategies and inclusive teaching practises.
  • Willingness to contribute to extracurricular activities and wider school life.
