What skills and experience we're looking for
Do you see yourself working in a supportive and friendly team, that is on a mission to make a lasting positive difference to children’s lives?
We are looking for a great teacher to join us to teach in key stage 2 from September: whether you are looking for your first teaching post, or for your next career step, if you want to make a real difference to children’s lives we’d love to hear from you.
What the school offers its staff
Wood Farm Primary is a vibrant and thriving school on the outskirts of the city, and our key stage 2 team is made up of eight classes and includes class teachers, teaching assistants and specialist reading support. We are looking for an enthusiastic, confident teacher who has high expectations for themselves and for children and who is passionate about learning.
Already recognized as a good school with outstanding leadership we are always reaching higher – we’re proud to be a place where all members of the school community strive to be the best they can be. This is an opportunity to join an energetic, talented and highly supportive team that can offer you:
• A strong commitment to your professional development, whatever your career stage, in a school with a dedicated Lead for Professional Learning.
• A supportive team, with the opportunity to plan and work with key-stage colleagues and with class support from our large team of skilled teaching assistants.
• A beautiful working environment, in new buildings.
• Friendly, happy children, who love learning – and the chance to make a real difference to their lives.
Further details about the role
Our teachers in key stage 2 work in phase teams with their year group colleagues, and with colleagues across the school. You’ll be supported by experienced subject and team leaders, as you create a classroom environment that puts the love of books and reading at the heart of everything you do.
Visits to the school are encouraged: please contact Catherine Routledge, School Business Manager, on 01865 762575 to arrange a visit.
For an informal chat about this post and or school please call, and ask to speak to Hannah, Louise or Gail (deputy headteachers)
