The Area
Abbey Meads is one of the ‘urban villages’ in the northern development of Swindon. The housing is predominantly owner occupied with some social housing provision. The school is located near Abbey Meads Village Centre and other community facilities.

Swindon is conveniently situated in the M4 corridor with a wide range of manufacturing and service industries. The town’s railway heritage has been commemorated in ‘Steam’, a national railway heritage museum. This is located in part of the old railway works buildings. Other parts of the railway works house a large retail ‘outlet village’. The urban environment is complemented by the surrounding countryside with the Ridgeway and the Cotswolds being close by.

The School
The school serves the large expansion of north Swindon and has thirteen classes, organised in straight year groups from Year 3 upwards. We are a popular and successful school with five classes accommodated in mobile classrooms. Since December 2019 we have been part of The Blue Kite Academy Trust.
