Job Advert: Class Teacher - Maternity
Are you ready to inspire and lead a mixed-age class in a nurturing and well-resourced primary school setting?
The Vine Schools are seeking a passionate and dedicated Class Teacher to join our team at Christian Malford C of E Primary School. This role offers the unique opportunity to teach a mixed-age class of 22 children from Year 3 to Year 6, supported by a Teaching Assistant who will help deliver a split curriculum tailored to meet the diverse needs of our pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver well-structured, engaging lessons across Years 3 to 6, adapting teaching approaches to suit mixed-age learning.
- Collaborate across The Vine Schools partnership to share planning and resources, reducing individual planning workload and promoting consistency.
- Work closely with the Teaching Assistant to effectively split the curriculum, ensuring all pupils make excellent progress.
- Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress, providing timely feedback and support.
- Set high expectations to inspire, motivate, and challenge pupils.
- Contribute to curriculum development and whole-school initiatives within The Vine Schools partnership.
- Maintain a supportive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and the wider school community.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching primary pupils, preferably with mixed-age classes.
- Ability to plan and deliver differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all pupils.
- Proven classroom management skills and the ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
Desirable Qualities:
- Enthusiasm for working within a strong Church of England school ethos.
- Commitment to collaborative working across the three Vine Schools.
- Passion for using technology to enhance learning, including interactive boards and iPads.
- Strong communication skills with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
- Flexibility and a proactive approach to professional development.
