Are you passionate about transforming the lives of students who need alternative pathways to success? Do you have the vision, leadership, and teaching expertise to shape an inclusive and high-quality learning environment?

We are seeking an inspirational and dedicated Teacher & Learning Lead to oversee the teaching, curriculum, and academic progress of students in our Alternative and Additional Provision. You will play a vital role in shaping the curriculum, behaviour management, and pastoral care, ensuring all students achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and develop the curriculum, teaching, and learning within the Alternative Provision
Deliver high-quality teaching and assessment, ensuring students achieve their best outcomes
Monitor and support student progress, setting clear academic and personal development targets
Support students transitioning into, within, and beyond the Alternative Provision, including pathways to further education, training, or employment
Work closely with families, staff, and external agencies to provide holistic student support
Lead on behaviour management, developing strategies to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Act as a form tutor, providing pastoral care and mentoring students
Promote careers education, ensuring students have access to meaningful work experience and career guidance
Mentor and develop teaching staff, supporting high-quality teaching practice in the provision
Analyse student behaviour and academic data to inform strategies for improvement

What We’re Looking For:

A qualified teacher (MPS/UPS) with experience in alternative provision, SEND, or behaviour support
A strong leader with a passion for inclusive education and supporting students with additional needs
A proactive and solution-focused educator with a deep understanding of barriers to learning
Experience in curriculum development, behaviour management, and pastoral care
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to liaise with students, parents, staff, and external agencies
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
