Teacher job summary

Longcause School is a dynamic and forward-thinking special school catering to primary and secondary pupils with complex communication and learning difficulties, including autism.

We are urgently seeking a passionate teacher with extensive experience in Special Educational Needs to join our team. You must have proven expertise in working with children with complex needs, autism, and attachment challenges, either in a school setting or other relevant environments.

While primary or secondary training is acceptable, candidates must recognise that most of our pupils’ are working within the year 1 and year 2 national curriculum. Applicants should be skilled in delivering English, maths (including phonics), and capable of teaching subjects across the curriculum. Experience in Read, Write, Inc is preferred but not essential and training will be provided.
