Teacher - Maternity Cover job summary


We are looking to appoint a Teacher - Maternity Cover to join our dedicated and friendly team in school. The successful applicant should have a passion for working with special educational needs and disabilities, which includes severe learning difficulties; physical difficulties; profound and multiple learning difficulties; severe autism and challenging behaviours.

You will be responsible for teaching children with special educational needs; as a class teacher, to undertake related pastoral and administrative duties; and to understand and incorporate all areas of pupils Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP) in day to day provision.

It is essential that the successful applicant is qualified to QTS (including NQTs/ECTs), has recent and relevant training and has proven experience of the education of children with SEN. Please see the job description for full details of the main duties and responsibilities.
