What skills and experience we're looking for
Reddish Vale High School are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic, committed and ambitious Teacher of Mathematics to join the department within our school. The successful candidate will display a real passion for learning and the teaching of their subject, with experience of teaching across KS3 and 4.
The successful candidate will be an integral part of the team and this is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding, creative teacher with the drive, passion and commitment to join our hugely talented team of staff, working together to encourage and support every child in reaching their full potential.
A commitment to your own CPD, through the development and application of innovative teaching and learning practices, will support the philosophy of the department.
Please note that we do not employ unqualified teachers. Only applications from candidates with QTS status will be considered for any teaching post.
As a Teacher of Mathematics, you will:
- Deliver engaging and challenging lessons to students of all abilities.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to enhance the learning experience.
- Contribute to the development of the mathematics curriculum and ensure it is both relevant and inspiring.
- Provide excellent pastoral support to students, helping them to achieve their best academically and personally.
- Take part in extracurricular activities to enrich students’ learning experiences.

- A passionate and dedicated Mathematics Teacher who is committed to inspiring students.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach Mathematics across key stages.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A team player who is willing to collaborate and contribute to the development of the school.
Visits to the school are welcomed, a tour of the school and department of interest will be provided by the Headteacher where possible.
