What skills and experience we're looking for

Required an enthusiastic and committed teacher to teach KS2 pupils and to support them with behaviour, emotional and social difficulties at the purpose built New Horizons Learning Centre.

The postholder will need to be creative in the way he/she works and able to support pupils who have a range of SEMH and other complex needs.

You should possess tenacity and enthusiasm, be recognised for the quality of your teaching and who can demonstrate their leadership both in the classroom and outside of it.

The commitment to providing a practical and engaging approach will also be crucial, as ensuring and enjoyable and effective learning experience for our young people is fundamental to our approach.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Likes children and young people and can form effective

relationships with them.

  • Has a commitment to developing the potential of pupils of all

abilities.

  • Has good emotional resilience and can promote this in others.
  • Have an unrelenting positive regard for young people with

SEMH needs.

  • Can motivate and inspire pupils to learn
  • Can help pupils to manage and express their emotions

appropriately

  • Has excellent communication skills and a willingness to

undertake new initiatives.

  • Is calm and can maintain a sense of humour under pressure.
  • Is competent in ICT.
