We are seeking a passionate and creative Teacher of Art to join our team at Astrea Academy Woodfields on a part-time (0.6) maternity cover basis. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students through a high-quality art curriculum, fostering creativity, confidence and a love of artistic expression. You will support students to develop both technical skills and creative thinking, contributing to a curriculum that promotes ambition, excellence and meaningful learning experiences.

  • Plan and deliver engaging and high-quality Art lessons across Key Stages
  • Inspire creativity and develop students’ practical and analytical artistic skills
  • Contribute to a knowledge-rich curriculum, ensuring strong progress for all students
  • Assess, monitor and provide feedback to support student development
  • Create a positive, inclusive and disciplined learning environment
  • Support the wider life of the department and enrichment opportunities
  • Uphold high expectations for behaviour and student outcomes
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to continuously improve teaching practice
