What skills and experience we're looking for

Role:Teacher of Art and DT

The ability to teach Art, DT or a combination of both will be considered. This post is to teach across two academies for academic year 25/26. We will aim to make it a single academy role from September 2026.

About the role:

As a subject teacher you will be required to complete the professional duties that are expected of a UK qualified Teacher in accordance with academy policies and procedures and your subject specialism.

You should promote the achievement of high standards through effective teaching and learning within your subject area, including the preparation, application and development of lesson resources in alignment with the curriculum, as directed by your department head and senior leaders within the academy.

You will be responsible for effective classroom management and the coordinator of class work with any classroom support staff that are present. You must evaluate lessons and incorporate student views and responses to reflect and identify areas of development.

Applicants must hold UK QTS, if trained overseas, have the relevant evidence that your qualification equates to UK QTS.
