Beccles High School is a vibrant, inclusive community where every student is known, supported and inspired. Since joining Sapientia Education Trust in September 2024, we’ve embraced a new era, one rooted in ambition, collaboration and student-centred learning.

We offer far more than just academic lessons. Our students benefit from 100 minutes every fortnight of enriching enhancement activities, ranging from sport and the arts to academic extension and community work, alongside a wide array of clubs and societies. These opportunities strengthen relationships and enrich personal development. From next year, after-school academies in football, STEM, and performing arts will add even more depth and ambition to our offer.

Located in a charming Suffolk market town, just 25 minutes from Norwich and near the stunning Broads and coast, we offer a more relaxed way of life, without compromising aspiration. At Beccles High School, we’re proud to be shaping brighter futures together.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a hard-working and enthusiastic person with high standards and the ability to communicate and interact effectively with others as part of our school as a Teacher of Art. The Teacher of Art is responsible for delivering art lessons to classes ranging from Y7 to Y11.

If you would like to know more or to arrange a visit then please do not hesitate to contact Suzi Poll, office manager, to arrange - S.Poll@Beccleshighschool.org

At Beccles, we believe that each and every student deserves to go to an excellent school. Our focus is on delivering high-quality, engaging lessons and providing students with the care and guidance that allows them to succeed. Our students tell us that they value the way lessons are delivered and the strong relationships that exist in school between students and staff. This is only possible because of our small size and our belief and confidence in every student as an individual.

We offer a traditional curriculum that enables our students to flourish academically, and which lays the foundations for their successful progression into post-16 learning. We are preparing our young people to be thoughtful, innovative, capable, responsible global citizens of the future; they will leave us with excellent qualifications and having outperformed their counterparts nationally.

Our vision is shared by all staff, and together we are responsible for upholding and promoting the values within it. Staff are supported at all levels by middle and senior leaders in their teaching, behaviour management, career development and wellbeing.
