We are looking for a Teacher of Art to join our academy in September 2024, this is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a well resourced, collaborative and student focused environment.
At Maltings Academy, our Art department falls under the Art & Design and Technology team, we teach Art & Design along with Photography up to KS4. Our Photography curriculum is diverse, covering black and white, colour photography, digital and analogue techniques and image editing. We are fortunate to have a well resourced department with a growing number of specialist teachers. We're not just an Art department; we're part of a collaborative department including Art Design, Design Technology, and Food Technology. Together, we engage students with innovative projects that inspire creativity.
We are located conveniently with fantastic transport links to London. This proximity provides us with access to the entire city, making trips to world-renowned places like the Tate Modern a regular occurrence. Our students love these outings, and it's an opportunity for them to connect with the art world on a deeper level.
Maltings is a 11-16 academy based in Witham, Essex. Situated between the cities of Chelmsford and Colchester, the academy has 900 students on roll and benefits from a purpose-built building that was constructed in 2011. There are excellent transport links to London which enables our staff and young people to take full advantage of the wealth of opportunities that London provides. Free car parking facilities are available on site.
