The role and what we are looking for
The successful candidate will teach KS3 and KS4 art, with the possibility of textiles and photography at KS4 for the right candidate. A willingness to support the Academy ethos and support of extra-curricular activities within the Academy is essential. You must be able to use a range of teaching strategies to inspire and motivate our students and demonstrate a commitment to sharing best practice with colleagues in the department. A passion for creative arts and a commitment to developing it across the curriculum is paramount.

An exciting opportunity to join the Art team at Oasis Academy Sholing
Following the retirement of a key member of the art team we are looking to recruit a well-qualified, enthusiastic and highly motivated Teacher of Art to support the Principal, staff and our students as we ‘Strive for Excellence’(SFX). The Art Department is well led, and the subject is extremely popular with students. At KS4, the department offers Photography and Textiles as well as Art, Craft and Design, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who would like experience of teaching a wider range of GCSE courses. There is a full-time experienced art technician and the Department is well resourced. Check out our school Facebook page to see some of the work that our students produce.
