The successful candidate will be required to teach at both sites. We have a vacancy for a confident, enthusiastic, suitably qualified applicant for the post of teacher of Art, Photography and Textiles, to join a large, successful faculty from January or April 2020.
The successful candidate will:
• be an excellent teacher across the full age and ability range
• have a passionate commitment to making art, design and technology stimulating and relevant for all
• be familiar with Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 GCSE and Advanced Level requirements
• have the ability to teach art, photography and textiles
• be a skilled ICT practitioner
• be willing to contribute to the wider life of the School
• have the calibre and ambition to develop his or her career in and beyond this post
At King Edward VII School art and design play a prominent part in the life of the School and consistently achieves excellent results. We offer students the chance to study art and design including photography, textiles, graphics, design technology and engineering. We regularly take students on trips to expand their knowledge and learning which we believe helps them develop further. The department consists of eleven specialist staff along with excellent administration support. The post will involve enhancing the quality of the Art and Design provision in terms of curriculum delivery, assessment and achievement.
