Teacher of Art job summary
One of the country’s leading academic schools, Queen Elizabeth’s Barnet blends a distinctive heritage and proud traditions with an innovative, forward-looking approach to providing a state education like no other to 1,300 boys aged 11-18.
We wish to appoint an outstanding art teacher to join a well-resourced department that is supportive, well-resourced and committed to a serious and demanding academic approach to art. The successful applicant will be able to teach at all levels within the School and willing to make a significant contribution to the extensive programme of co-curricular activity on offer.
It is anticipated that our new colleague will also be a practising artist committed to keeping up his or her own studio work; candidates will be invited to bring examples of their own work to interview, in addition to examples of recent work by pupils, and should be prepared to talk about their own practice.
Applications are welcome from experienced teachers looking to develop their experience in a new environment as well as from Early Career Teachers.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
