What skills and experience we're looking for

The successful candidate will be required;

1. To be a member of the Art Department of St Hilda’s Church of England School.

2. To deliver a quality first Teaching and Learning experience for all students across KS3, KS4 and KS5.

3. To contribute to St Hilda’s role as a high-achieving school, informed by research and best practice, in the Art Department.

4. To bring knowledge, expertise and high-order skills to the work of the school through your role as Teacher of Art.

5. To actively model and promote the values and ethos of the school.

6. To actively support the efficient and effective running of the school and good order, welfare, and safety ofstudents and staff.

The Governors of St Hilda’s wish to appoint a qualified and knowledgeable Teacher of Art. The successful candidate would become part of an enthusiastic and hard-working team. St Hilda’s, which is situated on the edge of Sefton Park in South Liverpool, is a welcoming and supportive community. We have high expectations of behaviour and there are excellent relationships between staff and students, based on mutual respect. St Hilda’s is a high-performing, over-subscribed comprehensive school with a Sixth Form. In 2021, Ofsted judged the school to be Good and in 2025, our SIAMS inspection found that St Hilda’s Church of England High School is living up to its foundation as a Church school and is enabling pupils and adults to flourish.
