What skills and experience we're looking for
Holyport College seeks an ambitious and effective graduate teacher to teach Biology. General science will be taught in Years 7 – 8 and by specialism in Biology from Year 9 – 13.
This post will provide excellent professional development opportunities for either a newly qualified or an experienced teacher with the capacity to develop strong leadership skills and recognise the unique opportunity of working in the country’s first state day and boarding free school.
The College’s full-time hours are 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Thursday, 8.30am to 3.45pm on Friday.
What the school offers its staff
The successful candidate will be remunerated on the main/upper pay scale (London Fringe) £34,398—£52,490 and enrolled in the Teachers’ Pension Scheme.

We are a school where teachers really can teach: students behave very well at Holyport College and they want to learn. Classes generally have no more than 24 students in them.
The College has two additional weeks holiday per year compared to the average state school: our October half term is two weeks long and our Christmas holiday is three weeks and there are opportunities forinternational travel: no member of staff will be asked to do this if they don’t want to however we have regular trips to Iceland, the Alps, Spain, France, Italy and the USA.
There are many opportunities for CPD including through our partnership with Eton College and the Boarding Schools’ Association.
