About The Role:
Hayle Academy is seeking to appoint a full-time (part time will be considered) and permanent Teacher of Boys PE and Geography.
This is an exciting time at Hayle Academy as we work collaboratively to embed our digital transformation strategy, giving teachers and students the very best digital tools available to enhance teaching and learning.
Hayle Academy is a popular and inclusive community school that currently has 605 11-16 students on roll. In its most recent inspection (March 2022), Ofsted judged that the school continues to be a good school. Our vision is to ‘inspire our students to dream big, to achieve more’. Hayle Academy is located in a beautiful corner of West Cornwall. Easily accessed from the A30, the town of Hayle along with its famous three miles of golden sands boast great amenities, some of the most popular beaches in Cornwall, and affords a great quality of life.

About You:
Delivering to KS3 and KS4, the successful candidate will be a motivated and positive team player with a determination to ensure all students succeed, regardless of barriers. They will win hearts and minds, and inspire, enthuse and motivate staff and students alike.
The personal development curriculum at Hayle Academy is a strength, which has been recognised through our achievement of the Distinction AfPE Award; the successful candidate will make contributions to our comprehensive ‘Hayle 365’ offer, which includes extra-curricular opportunities.
Teaching and Learning is at the heart of our school; the successful applicant will need to have a passion to deliver great learning opportunities to our students, through an active approach.The flexibility to also teach BTEC Tech Award in Travel and Tourism would also be desirable.
